**Pets**

These are my two pets at home Cleo the Dalmatian and George the Cat. Cleo loves to go for big runs and can be rather greedy. One time she ate my salad off the table when I wasn't looking. George keeps Cleo in line and spends most of his day napping in the shade.

Do you have any pets at home? What are they like? Are they cheeky like Cleo or bossy like George? If you don't have any pets, what would be your dream pet and why?

Beach Trip!!

Room 20 had a fantastic day at Mount Maunganui last Thursday. It was a very hot day so it was lovely to cool off with a swim. The lifeguards were very funny and we learnt loads about being Sun Smart and safe in the surf.
Thank you to all the awesome parents who came along with us. You were great! Thanks also to Emma's Mum, Janine for the fab photos.
What was your favourite part of the day? Why? What is something you learnt about being Sun Smart or Safe in the surf?

NZ Breakers Epic Win!

Today in class we talked about Cedric Jackson amazing three pointer from past the half way line. His shot won the game for the NZ Breakers with only one second left on the clock.

EPIC CLASH: Ekene Ibekwe the Breakers and Perth's Shawn Redhage tussle for possession.

We put ourselves in Cedric Jacksons shoes and imagined what we could hear, see, feel around us and feel on the inside. This is what we came up with...

I heard deafening silence as the ball left my hands and went sailing through the air.
I heard my heart pounding in my chest while I held my breath.
I saw the ball falling through the hoop and swishing around in the net.
I felt my team mates crowd around me cheering and giving me victory hugs.
I felt amazed, excited, happy and proud all rolled into one.

What do you think?
